The kids have been out of school for a few days, but today is my first day of summer freedom. It's not true that summer break is the best part of teaching - not by a long shot - but it IS a damn nice perk. The kids were already at the pool last night, living it up - or at least the 8 year old was living it up. The baby had no clue what to make of it, except that her sister kept giving her very wet kisses, and the pool mohawk that may become a regular hairdo until she gets more hair.
